Paradox

What is religion?

Religion is Addeen. Addeen, is , the way of life. Lifestyle. Ideology. Rules. Guide. Mindset. Faith.

When we believe in Islam, it means that we accept this religion as a way of life. Religion sets the guide for us, in every detail of our daily life, without a single exception. It is the religion that we follow to decide our etiquettes, our style and fashion. The way I drink, the way I sleep, and yes, even the way I eat. Religion is our source of light, without it we will be lost. This is what we must believe.

Surely there is room for discussion and disagreements in this religion, but surely that privilige is just for uncertainties, small issues that are minors. As a guide, religion tells us what is wrong, and what is right, clearly. If , you are a believer, you won't object, and you wont question whatsoever being told. Heck, Allah give us this guidance, it is flawless, then how could you object? Allah told us to pray. So pray la.. Will you ask then , why should you pray? How could you? May Allah be with you.

You want some proof? There are lots and lots and lots and...lots of them in the Quran, on why should you obey. The proof that God exists, the proof of all scientific miracles in the Quran, history told perfectly, Big Bang, the expanding universe, foetus in the womb, chemistry. All are scientific evidence, if you don't take in philosophy. If you do believe in philosophy, the Quran is the mother of all philosophy. The point is that, you don't have a point not to believe.

Do you have any point on what is wrong with this religion?

If, there is nothing wrong, then why should you not follow what is stated?

I'm sick with the rhetoric, '' we will obey when there is proof, when our brain says yes, when it is scientifically proven, when we see it with our own eyes".

This religion is based on proof and facts, just tell us about any issue , there will be a perfect reason, evidence and fact. You must acknowledge that you failed to obey, not because there is no proof , but because you are egoistic, you're so proud with the so-called ' modern style of thinking'. Allah decides who you become with this religion , it is not you who decide which is right and which is wrong. Islam is not based on what you want, instead you have to obey.

People brought you tonnes of reason, then why should you disobey? Proof, hadith, Quranic verses, all are clearly presented, yet you still disagree. This is not a disagreement based on facts, this is arrogance.

I am not an extremist when I said that you should not do what is forbidden. You are an extremist because you dared to defy Allah when it is clearly forbidden. Why question the undeniable fact?

What has become of us, when we said that , we are Talibans when we decide to follow the religion? If doing what Allah asks, and leave what he forbids means being Talibans, then I'd rather be
talibans, seriously. If, embracing Islam to the fullest make you call us Talibans, terrorists, extremists, fundamentalist, I want to do so. Will you?

We need to be liberalised, they said, in this modern world. We need to decide what is right with our brains as we can think. Heck, this world is not modern. It is not getting new, but it gets older, older and older. Does questioning Allah's rights means liberalism? I don't think so. Does defying what the ulama' had said , means liberalism? I don't think so. Who are we, compared to the prophet, to his friends, to the ulama', that we are so confident of our immature thoughts? Is that liberalism? That is not freedom to think, but that is disobedience, crime and misunderstanding.

"Say, 'Who provides for you from the heaven and the earth? Or who controls hearing and sight and who brings the living out of the dead and brings the dead out of the living and who arranges [every] matter?' They will say, ' Allah ,' so say, 'Then will you not fear Him?'For that is Allah , your Lord, the Truth. And what can be beyond truth except error? So how are you averted?
Thus the word of your Lord has come into effect upon those who defiantly disobeyed - that they will not believe.".( Surah Yunus, 31-33)

I'm sorry.

Peace.

Race to the moon~

Writing with the state of peace in mind, butterflies in the stomach.
Why is the reason of people being so racist?
Perhaps we divide into races because we came from different planets. Indians from Mars, Chinese from Neptune, and Malays from Jupiter. Only aborigines and local tribes are the earthlings, the others are aliens. We're fugitives from different planets after endless intergalactic wars . We are enemies in the past,  we need to be hostile towards each other, prepare and wait until the final war begins.
Soon.

Please, that is most ridiculous.
Perhaps we are made to hate each other , and protect our own colours to the end of time. There is a genetic misunderstanding between races which made us completely repel each other. The different colours that we had meant different charges which opposes each other. This is a pure assumption, false and weird. What, genetic misunderstanding? Seriously?
I'm a deadly pessimist-yeah- but at least I'm not racist.
What is there to be proud  of races? Does it matter if I'm black, white or blue? This polemic had turned the world upside down since the brink of time, but still , the explaination of the causes are invalid and insignicant. Why?
I am a Malay. So? Does being a Malay provides me with some kind of enormous inheritance, limitless wisdom, or whatsoever? Does a Malay literally means the KING of the  land, the conqueror of the Malay lands, Malay of the seas? Heck, I'm stupid and weak.

So what is so good of being differentiated and signified by races?

Who said that a Malay holds the rights of the land and power and education and money, and everything? We, named ourselves with races, and gave ourselves rights, then we proclaimed its truth and strength until the end of time. Who gave that right to us? Who made those for us?
We are all humans, nothing differs us.

I felt so alien with this racist world, I only wish I was born raceless . Is that possible? I dont want to be Indians, or else I will  be discriminated for my colours and my traditions. I dont want to be a Malay, or else I will brag endlessly about my non-existing rights, strength and I will be as stupid as always, lazy and useless. I don't want to be Chinese, because I will be an outcast in a country I lived for decades.

This racism   is endless, unless something is made to stop it.

What's the difference between races? We all have perfect eyes, noses and hands. We laugh, we eat and we cheat. We play DOTA, we're addicted to the internet, we eat cereals in the morning. We cry when we're sad, and we hate when we need to.  Then, what differs us?

Can that race-labellings give you salvation in the Hereafter? I'm a Malay, I have more chances of not going to hell. Seriously?

It was  said that a race holds a right over a piece of land, wealth and power. Who made the lands, and who gave them all the power? A strong stand should be based  on rationality, and facts, so where is the basis of this racist thingy?

It is because I'm a descendant of a certain race, my bloodline is written with all kinds of fortunes, and which all other races  cannot acquire. Did I worked so hard for those fortunes and rights? Should I have them?

The basis of self-proclaiming of one's rights on something, must be based on his/ her efforts to get it. If I studied so hard, I deserve a degree and an award for it. If I worked so hard, I can have the fruits of my efforts. Failure is a whole different issue. The main subject is that being born  in one's race does not mean anything free, any rights or benefits. You worked so hard , you deserve success. You're so useless, you shall get nothing. You are an Indian, so? Does it matter?

So tell me people, what is the basis of racism?

Nope. Nothing.

Peace.

The Mother's Tale.

"Mom, why is dad in jail? Did he murdered someone? Is he a terrorist,Mom?"

Drops of tears formed at the horizon of the mother's eyes, but she wiped them away. There's no reason to cry.
She didn't answer that question, no, she didn't know what to answer.
What is the perfect answer for a child who lost his father, without a reason?

" Haziq told me that Dad is a bad criminal, and that is why he's in jail, isn't it , Mom? "

Mother stopped doing laundry, her hands cupped at her face. She couldn't stop herself from crying anymore. However hard was it , the dilemma she had to endure, she was still a woman, with a heart. She had the rights to cry as much as she wanted.
It was really pointless to silence her kids forever, they will still ask, again and again. Where's father? Why is he in the news, why is he in jail?

The mother herself wants an answer to the question. Heck, they took her husband away years ago, without a single court proceeding, nor explaination, nor information, nothing. She had wasted too much tears, and probably too much money. She had asked them hundreds of time, of the reason they put her husband in jail, yet they provided no answer.

The ultimate information she had was that she married a decent man, with a decent work. He was flawless,angel-like, innocent and kind. She had no idea, why would such a lovely father being kidnapped from her perfect life. He was the man who would rush home from work every single day, just to have a simple dinner with his beloved children, and to kiss his wife between the eyes. She had checked his profile thoroughly before marrying him, she knew that she did. He was probably not a robber, not a corrupted man, not a drug dealer, seriously, he didn't have the guts to kill an ant. She asked his colleagues, and they admitted that her wonderful husband was indeed, perfect. They themselves had no idea, why would they take him away. He must had an alliance with the aliens to take over the world. Seriously.

Life isn't fair. Life's cruel.

She spent countless days, in her pursuit, to free her husband, and to reveal his darkest secrets,of what did he did. Lots of lawyers meant lots of money, and her savings were little, too little. If he really had an alliance with the enemies from neighbouring planets, then the authority should have captured some aliens in the country. Seriously, no aliens were caught. If he robbed nothing, bribed nobody, and punched no one, then ,could he be the mad guy who invented the most superior weapon ever, that could wipe the whole society off in a second, like the extinct dinosaurs; all died in a sudden death. No, he's just a clerk at a small office, he even failed his SPM.

Then, if the men who took her love away can't answer her children's questions, what are the options that she has? She was a timid housewife, they were powerful men, with all the powers and the wealth. It's already KO before the match started.

The mother had to start a new life, to support herself, and the innocent kids. She had been doing house chores since the brink of time, and now, she had to work to support the family? Without a certificate, in this materialistic , profit motivated world, what choices did she had? No work meant no money. No money meant no house, no food, and no education for the immature kids.
The mother was a responsible wife, she was a caring mother. You can go to the corner near the road, exactly across her house, the young mother should be at the small stall, selling nasi lemak.

She spent so much time crying, she only stopped to prevent herself becoming like Kassim Selamat. She handled the house chores alone, all the men's works , alone. She learned to drive her husband's old car to send the kids to school. She taught her children, of how to pray, of their homeworks, of their attitudes, she taught them to be humans. She did everything- bank accounts, bills, lawn mowing, nasi lemak, breakfast, dinner and lunch. Superwoman!

She met his husband at the damned jail every single weekend, she brought together her tears, her complaints ,and her children's questions. She's still young, she needed the love that every single woman had. She wanted to know her husband's answers to the questions, but he was silent each time. His eyes were sunk in his face, like a zombie without brains. The handsome face suddenly looked like a criminal , the tough muscles turned limp and weak.

The mother never went to a university, yet she knew that her husband has the rights to be judged, to get a trial , for whatever that he did. She never read a single book about laws, yet she knew that her husband must be proven guilty, to be detained, held in jail , like cows awaiting slaughter. Heck, that's seriously common sense. If her husband planned a coup d'etat, to topple the government, together with the group of rebelling clerks, then where are the guns? Where are the clerks' fortress, their masterplans, and the bombs? What are her choices? A divorce?

Her children were still young, yet they knew that you can't punish another kid after accusing him stealing their candies, without a single proof. " You stole my toys, although I didn't have the proof that you did it, but I know you did it. You did it! You did it! I know you did! I will smack you into pieces, how dare you take my toys, I know you did, although no one saw you, and I found no toys with you. But still, you're guilty!" . No, that's is gravely wrong, mother will be as angry as hell to hear that.

A child knows that you can't punish another kid without proof. That sense of sensibility, doesn't require someone to earn it at Oxford or Harvard, it is seriously common sense. The child knows that he can't pinch his friend all in a sudden, to prevent him stealing his toys. " I'm afraid that you will steal my toys, therefore I have to pinch and punch you , again and again" . That kid, seriously, is a horrible bully, people should not let him live on this planet.

The government , with their Internal Security Act, is inhumane, their mentality is much worse than aliens. Dictatorship; at a whole different level. Pharaoh of the 21st century.

The mother doesn't have to suffer anymore. She has the rights to live a life.

Life's not cruel, and life does not suck. We can make it better.

Banish ISA. Peace.

"O you who have believed, be persistently standing firm for Allah , witnesses in justice, and do not let the hatred of a people prevent you from being just. Be just; that is nearer to righteousness. And fear Allah ; indeed, Allah is Acquainted with what you do."(Al-Maidah;8)

History, seriously?

"Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it"
George Santayana

The wise words of George Santayana, well, it is wise. Those who cannot remember the past, will somehow repeat the past. Although it was not defined which 'past' is meant. Is it if, you forget a victory in the past, somehow, someday, you will succeed? Seriously? If it is that way I want to forget every kind of achievements I did, then I'll be the most successful person ever. Mr Santayana probably meant that those who cannot remember their wrongdoings, failure in the past will probably do it again.

In a simpler way, we, the new generation will again sell the country to neo-imperialists if we ever forget the events of The Pangkor Treaty, or the occupation of Penang. No, that's rather hard. A person may fall into a hole on the road again, if he forgets that there is a hole.

But , there is a catch over there, Mr Santayana's words are deeper than that. Remembering the past, seriously , is not enough. You have to 'understand' the past. Remembering , as said by Mr Santayana, really does mean 'to recall and seriously understand'! Take an example, a car dealer and a customer. The car dealer might cheat the customer, by selling the badly shaped car at a high price. The car dealer discloses the real information of the car, while the happy customer buys the car without hesitation. If, that customer is a good man, he'll remember being cheated, he remembers how was he cheated, and he'll probably buy a better car in the future. But, if he is the opposite guy, things are not the same. He remembers losing money, after being cheated by the car dealer, but, if he doesnt know how was he cheated, then does it make a difference? He will be cheated like; forever.

I'm trying to express my anxiety; about our history, history itself, and probably history as a subject in schools.

A question in the recent SPM's History paper was "What is the name of the national anthem?"

Seriously?

Is the thirst for the grade so hardcore, that such question even exists? What do you expect from the students, if that is the question used to evaluate students' knowledge about history? That is not history, unless someone made the national anthem a history.
That is a small issue for almost everyone, and probably good news for the candidates. Bonus marks.

Learning history, like Mr Santayana said, is for not repeating the mistakes we've done, the wrongdoings of the elders. We ought to learn history so we do know , what we shouldn't do when we become leaders in the future. History teaches us that life isn't as bright as we imagined in our teenage years. There are springs, winters and autumns, and there are hurricanes, tornadoes and tsunamis. Unless history is really 'taught' to our students, the past mistakes of our elders; the corruptions, the lies, the stupidity will be repeated all over again.

The question paper is so easy that I don't think revision is necessary. I do know that failure in History means no certificates, but what does the certificates mean , if students fail to understand our history? The test is an evaluation, of their understanding. If it is just for the certificates, the whole period of five years of education is useless. The test should investigate, what do the students think about the history, what are their opinions of the causes of the past events and the consequences, not basic general knowledge!

Malaysians are among the worst readers in the universe. The amount of books read by Malaysians in a year, by average, can be counted by fingers alone. History, is mainly about reading. If the level of difficulty of the test is so low, youngsters will probably read less. What to read? Why read? The test is just for the grades, and it is damned easy.

"Have they not seen how many generations We destroyed before them which We had established upon the earth as We have not established you? And We sent [rain from] the sky upon them in showers and made rivers flow beneath them; then We destroyed them for their sins and brought forth after them a generation of others." ( Al-An'am;6 )

Allah ordered us to look into the past. There are a lot of ayahs reminding us about the past. About the prophets and their people, their deeds and the consequences. These are the basis of the human history, of which all of us should know. People should remember and understand, of the generations in the past. All those homosexuals do not understand history, because all of Prophet Lut's people were demolished out of their wrong orientation. The people of Madyan were destoyed because they cheated in their businesses, they were corrupted and evil.

"And to [the people of] Madyan [We sent] their brother Shu'ayb. He said, 'O my people, worship Allah ; you have no deity other than Him. There has come to you clear evidence from your Lord. So fulfill the measure and weight and do not deprive people of their due and cause not corruption upon the earth after its reformation. That is better for you, if you should be believers. And do not sit on every path, threatening and averting from the way of Allah those who believe in Him, seeking to make it [seem] deviant. And remember when you were few and He increased you. And see how was the end of the corrupters." ( Al-A'raf: 85,86)

Allah taught us about the history of the corrupters, and the punishment for their deeds. Dude, seriously, this is History.

If, history is just another grade on the certificate, for our students, beware and be patient. The future leaders will be most corrupted. Future leaders do know what's the name of the national anthem, of course they do! But they will never know that the mistakes done by the elders, are actually mistakes, and they probably will do it, again.

Deadly pessimistic-peace.

The Tooth Dilemma

To have a toothache is a total nightmare. The pain is unbearable, and to some people, toothache feels like a slow death. Although that precious tooth is only a small part of our giant bodies, the pain is felt all over. Yes, this is a story of a tooth ache.

The causes of a toothache may vary; according to your lifestyle. It might happen to be the lack of calcium, or an excess of it, or scurvy, or perhaps a bull knock you out of your teeth. Or you got punched by The Pacman-oh , you know him-, the cause of a tooth ache is almost infinite, I'm not born a dentist to specify any. But, obviously, almost everyone on earth will experience toothache, no matter how serious he brushes his teeth, nor how much did he flossed, it's compulsory to have a toothache someday, unless you're born teethless. Out of 7 billion people on earth, 99 percent will experience a tooth ache-seriously, I made this up. So, as a major problem to the human race, the toothache dilemma must be discussed, for the benefit of the society as a whole.

When you have a toothache, the whole daily activity is disrupted, or perhaps stopped at all. The sick tooth acts like a drill, it produces pain in a form of vibrations, so the pain is spread evenly . That single tooth seems to be contracting and expanding- like a pounding heart, sending the terrible feeling to the anticipating brain. When this happens, you can't concentrate on whatever task you're doing, and that's a big problem. Obviously, homeworks can't be done when the tooth aches. Thanks tooth, I love you.

When the tooth keeps sending vigorous messages of pain to the brain, it becomes overloaded and jammed, like a jammed laptop which failed to play FIFA. This in turn brings a headache to the affected person, as the body worked so hard to stop the pain, but failed. The headache is the manifestation of the brain's frustation to cure the pain. A person with a headache of that level will probably be in bed for the whole day, unless if he's an awesome guy who likes to act cool.

Tooth ache lasts for days, and perhaps weeks, if there is no actual solution for the problem. Most people will opt for pain relievers- drugs to contain the pain. This is rather effective, where the body experiences no pain at all, but it will come again repetitively, and continuous consumption of relief drugs isn't a wise option. The other choice is to see the dentist, and this is the largest problem to the human community in the tooth dilemma. Although the dentist might be an excellent choice to stop the pain ultimately, the sacrifices that have to be made is big. Either losing a precious tooth, or experiencing an hour of torture- driiling your life out from a single tooth. That choice feels like suicide. The other option is to let it be, and pray that the pain will be eased some day...but you can't be so optimistic .

You can't enjoy food, or you can't eat at all with a toothache. You lose a precious smile when that tooth starts screaming " Pull me off! Pull me of you!, }%^#+'htj$:&,! " . Sometimes you can't sleep , as the pain haunts you throughout the night. And to make it worse, you can't do homeworks- yeah!-. This proves that the tooth ache is a major problem to human beings. And still, it happens.

When you decide to sacrifice that tooth , it involves dignity and pride. Dude, you're 18 and you already lost a tooth? Seriously? Probably too much junk food and no brushes at all. You lost all the coolness sought before, when a tooth of yours goes missing. A perfect smile is a dream for everyone, but when the tooth is lost, there's nothing that can be done. And you lost the pleasures of heavenly dinners and lunches; you can't chew like everybody else anymore. You are so old!

So, what's the resolution of the tooth ache dilemma? Brush your teeth.

Dude, that's not the conclusion, seriously. This long article about the toothache wants to remind you of the importance of a single tooth. Yup, a single tooth is so important to us, and when the toothache occurs, you will regret all the years of ignorance, the laziness to brush your teeth, to keep it clean. When the tooth is lost, only then will we appreciate the importance of it, but it's way too late. The damage is done.

That is a SINGLE tooth, a very small portion of the human body. The pleasures to have eyes, ears and the nose is almost infinite, and so are the other organs. What about the skin , the legs and the tough muscles? What about the perfect lungs that you have, or the brain itself? These are pleasures that we will only learn to appreciate, once it's lost. Then, shouldn't we learn to be grateful, and thankful to the Creator who made us with perfect teeth , and for all the pleasures we have?

Brush your teeth. Peace.

The Law of Nature

The first law of nature states that something that should happen, will happen, and something that will not happen, won't happen, unless an unbalanced external entity acts on it.

For example, if you didn't study at all, you will fail in the exam, unless if you are extremely genius, or if the answers got leaked by your best friend. T_T.

The second law of nature states that the consequences of an event is directly proportional to the entity that causes it. The event also follows the direction of the entity acting on it.

Yeah, the more that you didn't study, the more will the result sucks, the more demotivated you are, and the more nightmares will come to haunt you-angry folks, angry teachers, and laughing friends. And the exam result follows the direction of your efforts before taking the exam. If the direction of your efforts before the exam is towards watching every movies available on earth, or playing any games that can be played, then the results will be like all games and movies~ GAME OVER.

The third law of nature states that when an entity acts on another entity, the second one will exerts a similar but opposite act on the first one. Of course, when you play games during study time , by opening the laptop /iPad/ phone, studying acts on playing games by closing all books or everything that looks like studying. In another example, when you show a bad result to your parents, your parents will act by showing rage. Although that rage may vary according to type of parents, etcetra, etcetra.

This is a modified form of physics' law into nature. Sorry Mr Newton, no copyrights available.

It's rather amazing to see how people react as exam's near the corner. Bright eyes turn red , bodies become sore, and jokes turn boring and annoying. It's the exams' day when people lose their smiles and expressions, while some others become extremely happy, and some doesn't care at all.

Exams turn a hopeless life hopeful, or in another way, a useless life becomes productive. A student which was consistent on not studying at all may study when exam comes nearer. Exam's the best moment when you want to observe how serious someone is, losing all the coolness sought before. Yeah, someone whom I never saw praying suddenly asks me to pray for him before the exam. Exams make people turn weird and unexpectable. True story.

But there's an exception~ in the doesn't-care-at-all species of homosapiens. Of all people, they doesn't care about studying at all, nor doing any effort, nor taking an exam itself. No exact influence can change their views to the universe, as they themselves are unsure of their existence, they might be dreaming all the moment. So what's the point studying when the whole world's just a dream? They wake up when the results is at the minimum value of the overall results' graph, but there's nothing that could be done.

But you might say, what's the point of discussing exams, when there is a zillion ways to succeed rather than just passing examinations? Mark Zuckerberg is a college dropout, Steve Jobs is a college dropout, and all others who never even tried to enter schools. The prophet Muhammad p.b.u.h himself never went to any school, yet he's the most influential man of the whole world. So, what's the fuss?

Wait a second over there. The fourth law of nature~ I made this~ states that life itself is a test. Yeah, I'm absolutely confident that we are all are in a major test.

Surah Al-Mulk;2, "[He] who created death and life to test you [as to] which of you is best in deed - and He is the Exalted in Might, the Forgiving -"

All of us will be evaluated for our deeds in this short life, and the results are like the exams above~ some will be extremely sad, others will be happy. Shouldn't we prepare for the exam?

Yunus; 26-27 "For them who have done good is the best [reward] and extra. No darkness will cover their faces, nor humiliation. Those are companions of Paradise; they will abide therein eternally. But they who have earned [blame for] evil doings - the recompense of an evil deed is its equivalent, and humiliation will cover them. They will have from Allah no protector. It will be as if their faces are covered with pieces of the night - so dark [are they]. Those are the companions of the Fire; they will abide therein eternally."

Peace.

Get Married.

"Us? Getting married? You gotta be kidding me. Why so sudden, after all?"

"But, everyone here does that . And I do feel lonely, deprieved and I need you. The Islamic society here supports early marriages, as to prevent social problems among students, and they even funded it. I've been waiting for ages.."

"Yo sis, chill up. People don't get married just like that. There are tons of problems awaiting, conflicts and stigmas to go through.
And it always seems that the chances of we getting married, now, neared to nil. Getting married , here, is harder than doing any sin. True story.

We're studying after all , and, ugh, I can't get it.

I'm too busy after all, doing everything from course works, internship, tutor classes , clubs, things that reach infinity. I merely have time for myself, now. Why can't it be later? After graduation, perhaps?

T_T

What? Wait, don't cry, I really don't mean that. Yeah, I do want to marry you, I promised that since kindergarten, but , why now? I don't see the neccessity for the issue to be brought up at these times.

I'm studying economics, and so, here I present you a cost-benefit analysis of getting married. Firstly, the externalities that I found , are rather terrifying, and this is a total nightmare. Let me explain the negative ones first, so be patient and understanding. The main issue is about consent. Consent, to be married, is an horror today , it is an unavoidable bad luck. Your folks will bring up lame stories of failed marriages among teenagers, lack of responsibility among us, and our preparations. Prepare to understand that our parents still consider us as toddlers, if you want to know, because they love us too much. They will opt for us to continue studying, as marriage is considered a distraction, and our marriage can tarnish their names....later explaination below.

The second issue is about our age. Me myself sees marriage as a chance to increase productivity, through the increase of human capital, and of course, better specialisation in daily chores. You'll make my life better organized by three hundred percent. That's a fact. But others-all people, ceteris peribus- consider marriage at this age a disaster. It will halt the process of education, although that is mainly an assumption, statistics prove the opposite. Young married people, they will say , cannot participate in societies and leadership activites compared to singles. Heck, we'll do everything together, can't we? And marriage at this age is controversial- people are born with stigmas. Rumours will spread that we married because I made you pregnant, ugh, that's the nature of people, although the rationality is none. That's just a single example. And the issue of the age matters about maturity. Although we see ourselves as matured enough (are we? ) , others don't. We are raging children with overdosed adrenaline and spirits. They assume that if we do marry , it will end quickly, as this 'puppy love' is temporary and volatile. All these are people's assumptions that we can't afford to ignore ,as we're living in a community, we are not Tarzan and Jane in the jungle of Amazon.

The third issue is the monetary cost. Let me divide cost into two, premarriage cost and post-marriage cost. Premarriage costs include costs during engagement, planning and the wedding ceremony. All three events involves transportation cost of family members involved. Engagement requires an engagement ring, a ceremony, which involves cost for food at the day. Planning is a process before the wedding, while the wedding itself...this,dowry? .. that, oh these, and that..... amounting to a total cost of RM 30000, and that's just basics. I haven't considered if the marriage is made at a grand scale ,or do you prefer a a budget wedding, just the wedding 'uniform', and some food? Yeah.

The post-marriage costs involves all possible issues that rise while building a family. You don't even want to think about that, trust me. And as a student, I don't see any possible way to find that amount of money in such a single time, unless you consider robbing a bank, or an afternoon with the loansharks. Yes, it sucks to be a pessimist.

Yeah, there are extremely good benefits of this early marriage thing, but , if the side effects are far greater, how do we decide then? Let's be patient and considerate. Then, what about assimilation? We need to adapt ourselves, if we do marry, to the external surroundings, and to our own selves, and yet we are still students. What if the time isn't enough for us to keep this marriage even look as a marriage?

Other issues may rise, such as family planning-birth control, stress management and various other perspectives.

We can go as far as saying that if we marry, we can produce more, and contribute more to the society, and to Islam as a whole, but how much of that rhetoric is true? The main reason, you think, is to protect ourselves from hedonism, social problems, etcetra, etcetra. But heck, please, that is not the main objective of a marriage. It is such a sick marriage , if it is motivated by that sole purpose alone. Can't we get hold of ourselves? We're good muslims, aren't we?

A marriage should be based on family, happiness, and it must be planned thoroughly....wait, what's that bright light over there? Please, who's that? Stop pointing light at people, you.."
